Alaa Safi

Who I am

I’m an integrative counsellor trained in Gestalt, TA, and Person Centred. This means that I tailor my approach to what you need. I ensure from the moment you walk in that you feel comfortable and that we assess if I’m the right counsellor for you. Counselling is not my job but a way of being for me.

I currently work exclusively online, providing affordable and accessible counselling sessions wherever you are in the world.

I have a master’s in Development and Emergency Practice and experience working in the charity sectors and have worked with NGOs and INGOs. I currently work with two charities supporting refugees’ mental health in different capacities.

I have a passion for supporting those who are the first responders in the time of conflict risking their lives. I’m also passionate about supporting those who have been impacted by war or conflict. I speak Arabic and English fluently and want to ensure that I can offer my services to those who need it even outside the UK. Making counselling more accessible is my motivation and my vision for the work that I do. I have experience working with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in the UK. I have worked in issues related to trauma, grief, inter-cultural challenges, and identity issues.

To be the support I can be for you, I have regular counselling and regular supervision for my personal and career development.
